Character Story
Charles was born into a California chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel. Growing up, he appeared to be a gifted individual, and found that he enjoyed the intellectual pursuit. He strove to learn what all he could about history and technology, seeming to be exceptionally apt with learning. Not only that, but he was pretty quick, and liked to spar with other members of the chapter in his free time, whatever of which he had between study and sleep.
Growing up, he came to dislike the Brotherhood's mentality towards others, and how they operated, and he deemed he wanted out of it. About a year after he finished his apprenticeship as a Scribe, around the age of 19, he figured it was time to dust off. He disavowed from the Brotherhood, and they sent him off with a bit of food and caps for the journey.
He made his way over to Vegas, knowing that the area was already well settled. There, he made his way to the outpost of the Followers, knowing that they ought to be able to help him settle in. He decided he'd stay with them for a while, joining in and helping other newcomers along their ways for a few years. At the age of 25, he decided he had better things to do with his life, and decided to set out once more, heading for a place called the Oasis, simply curious and wanting to check it out.
