The Followers of the Apocalypse are a humanitarian organization based out of Southern California, specifically the L.A. Boneyard. A group of dreamers and idealists, their goal is to prevent the horrors of the past from ever being repeated by helping people and trying to educate them. They have small outposts all over the Wastelands where they offer free healing to anyone injured, and try to teach people how to live better lives. Everyone appreciates the free medical care, but a lot of people also feel the Followers are too preachy. Though they're a secular organization, they aggressively push their philosophies of compassion and non-violent solutions onto the people recovering under their care. As you might imagine, a lot of people fighting to survive in the harsh desert think that's a load of unrealistic bullshit, and walk away from the Follower's hospitals healthy but with a bad taste in their mouth. Their own philosophies also make them vulnerable, as they are so loathe to take life that they're not very good at protecting themselves. The Followers hold no territory and are generally un-involved with politics. They just want to help people.
