We've decided to fudge the New Vegas canon slightly in our game, to make things easier and more interesting for the players. Those of you who have played New Vegas will understand this. If you've never played the game, then just don't worry about it because we're basically making it apply as lightly as possible.
In our world, the Courier went with the Wild Card ending, where they seized power for themselves and used it to make New Vegas free and independent. However, we're saying that the Courier didn't do most of the side quests, so most of the things that were resolved in a 100% complete game are still dangling story threads. The Boomers still hide behind their Howitzer bank, the Omertas still trade weapons with shadowy folks who may or may not be Legion, and most of the sidequest areas in the game went unexplored and are still ripe for the looting.
